The State Bar Association of North Dakota (SBAND) is seeking applicants for an executive director. This position will become available on July 1, 2013.
Duties
The executive director implements the goals, strategies, programs, and policies established by the association's board of governors on behalf of its 2,400 members. Specific responsibilities include managing the staff, programs, finances, and activities of both the SBAND and the North Dakota Bar Foundation.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Eligible to be licensed to practice law in the State of North Dakota.
  • Experience in leadership of a professional organization
  • Financial background including budget management
Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent personal organizational skills, high energy level, and ability to motivate membership, leadership, and staff
  • An interest in the legislative process and ability to effectively present information to legislators
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to make effective use of technology.

Salary & Benefits
Salary, and the transition period before the July 1, 2013 start date, are negotiable.
