The National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys (NARCA) seeks an experienced professional association executive to
serve as its executive director (ED).
Serving as NARCA's ED offers a terrific opportunity to lead a trade association representing law firms in the important field
of consumer debt collection and creditors' rights at a critical point in the association's history. Incorporated in 1993,
NARCA is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit trade association dedicated to serving law firms engaged in the practice of consumer debt
collection law. NARCA exists to protect and enhance the viability of legal debt collections.
NARCA has approximately 815 member firms, a $2.3 million annual operating budget, reserves of $2.5 million, and a Federal PAC
with a balance of $200,000. It employs seven full-time and one part-time staff. The headquarters is located in Florida in the
Greater Tampa Bay region. NARCA may consider an executive who splits his or her time between Washington, DC and Florida while
the staff remains in the Florida office. This arrangement could support NARCA's government affairs efforts.
A bachelor's degree is required. Preference may be given to individuals who possess a master's degree, Juris Doctorate, or a
Certified Association Executive credential.
Outstanding association management and interpersonal skills, a dedicated work ethic, and a flexible, can-do personality.
6-10 years experience as an association executive with a broad range of association management experiences, including strong
membership and relationship management skills, and a willingness to "roll up their sleeves" to address the needs of the
