The Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA), a voluntary statewide professional association of attorneys and other law-related
professionals, is seeking its first diversity and inclusion director. This position will focus on advancing inclusion as a
core institutional value, increasing diversity within the MSBA, and improving the practice of law for diverse attorneys.
The diversity and inclusion director oversees the MSBA's diversity and inclusion initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
Reviewing former MSBA diversity programs and programs run by other legal entities;
Making recommendations to the MSBA Council regarding focus of the MSBA's work in the area of diversity and inclusion;
Ensuring MSBA policies and programs include consideration of diversity;
Implementing and monitoring MSBA diversity-related policies; and
Monitoring and updating the diversity budget and budget narrative.
This is an exempt, full-time position.

Skills & Abilities
The ability to travel within Minnesota is required.
Proven leadership and organizational skills
Good judgment and ability to work independently
Ability to establish strong working relationships with various constituencies
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of national diversity initiatives, best practices, and emerging research preferred
Familiarity with the Minnesota legal community preferred
Salary & Benefits
Salary up to $70,000 a year, plus benefits.
