The Allegheny County Bar Association is accepting applications for assistant executive director. This key management position will serve as the bar's chief financial officer and chief operating officer.
The assistant ED will be responsible for the daily operations of the bar and its charitable foundation, including overseeing $9.1 million in combined assets, 65 full-time personnel, and managing the bar's fourth-floor office space. Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and overseeing operating and capital projects budgets;
Reviewing and reporting the bar's financial position, investment management, audit oversight;
Overseeing employee recruitment, supervision, and discipline;
Providing guidance to department directors; and
Handling other projects as assigned by the executive director.
10 years of progressive management and accounting experience and CPA or CMA certification required
Master's degree in business or public administration highly desirable
Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required
Proficiency in computer and Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with automated accounting systems
