I would like to wish you all a wonderful Holiday Season and a Happy New Year!
With the New Year approaching, TIPS is busy preparing for a number of programs that will kick off 2014 in January! The Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee is co-sponsoring a complimentary program entitled, When Policy Limits Are Not Enough: Dilemma for the Policyholder, Plaintiff and Insurer, on January 8th in Chicago and TIPS is once again co-sponsoring the Ski and CLE Civil Litigation Program in Vail, CO, January 8-12. Next up is the 40th Annual TIPS Mid-Winter Symposium on Life, Health, Disability and ERISA, taking place January 16-18 in a new location, Austin, TX. The always popular Fidelity & Surety Law Committee's Mid-Winter Meeting will be held January 23-24 at the Waldorf~Astoria Hotel in New York City and don't miss our second Lloyd's of London Program, January 27th, also in New York.
I would also like to remind you to register for the 2014 ABA Midyear Meeting, February 6-9 at Swiss˘tel in Chicago, IL. This meeting presents a valuable opportunity to meet and network with attorneys and legal professionals from across the nation at various social events, CLE and committee meetings. TIPS is presenting an ethics CLE program on February 6th that you won't want to miss, entitled Tracing Food: What You Don't Know Can Hurt You. Sponsored by the Corporate Counsel Committee, the program will discuss the technological implications of the food industry. We recommend you register, purchase your event tickets and make hotel arrangements at your earliest convenience.
I thank you for your continued support of TIPS and your loyal membership in the Section and look forward to serving you in 2014.
