What is the Listserv?

The Listserv is an application that allows ABA Franchise Forum members to communicate important information of interest within our franchise law community. Specifically, and consistent with its Mission Statement, the ABA Franchise Forum’s Listserv should be utilized by Members to discuss significant issues relating to franchising, to seek input and guidance from other franchise practitioners regarding such issues and to share significant developments regarding franchise law.  It may also be used to share information about franchise law career opportunities, to seek professional referrals of franchise law matters and to share information about the Franchise Forum or other franchise law educational opportunities. We are excited to re-introduce this tool to enhance communications among our members.

Listserv is NOT to be used for self-promotion, jokes or other inappropriate or self-serving uses. Additionally, users of Listserv should avoid using “Reply All” unless they are certain that their reply is of important interest to the entire Franchise Forum community in accordance with the appropriate uses summarized in the previous paragraph. The Franchise Forum reserves the right to prohibit the use of Listserv by any user who uses the communication tool for improper purposes. 

How Can I Join?

If you received this message, you are already a member of the listserv. Forum members and other franchise professionals can join the listserv 2 ways, one method is through the website Memberships/Forum on Franchising Law committee join page: www.americanbar.org/my-aba/memberships/manage-committees/FR/. The other method is to contact Ryan Baffield and ask Ryan to get on the subscriber listserv ABAFORUM-FRANCHISING.

What Else Do I Need to Know?

• The Forum on Franchising listserv ABAFORUM-FRANCHISING is a private discussion list with replies going to the list subscribers. Only subscribers may send email to the listserv.
• The listserv is configured to allow all subscribers to POST email messages using this listserv address ABAFORUM-FRANCHISING@MAIL.AMERICANBAR.ORG.
• This listserv supports HTML styling in email.
• Listserv attachment quota is 15MB.
• Both Yolanda.Muhammad@americanbar.org and Ryan.Baffield@americanbar.org can help you with listserv issues.
• All messages will get archived in the Listserv application.
• All listserv message replies go to the sender and listserv subscribers.
• This is a member and non-member listserv.
