Hispanic Heritage Month Spotlight: Latina Bar Presidents on Leadership and Diversity

Please join us for a 21st Century Lawyer program on September 20 from Noon to 1 p.m. Central as first time Latina presidents of three Texas metro bars describe their journeys into these leadership positions, and the challenges that they faced. Get their advice on ways bar associations can cultivate and retain diverse leaders in the challenging environment for DEI initiatives.

Four-legged Friday and Other Fun Projects for Your Bar

If you didn’t make it to the NCBP Annual Meeting program on 21 Fun Project Ideas in 45 Minutes, check out the slide presentation to learn about Tarrant County Bar Association’s (TX) Four-legged Friday, an opportunity for members to bring their pets by the Bar office and get them free bandanas and treats; The Pauli Murray LGBTQ Bar Association's (NC) Drag and Trivia, a program for legal professionals to network and enjoy trivia, drag performances, music, games, food, and drinks together; and many more creative ideas with contact information at the bars to find out more.


Strategic Plan Features: Philadelphia and Indiana Bar Associations

Check out what your fellow bar associations are doing with their strategic plans to get ideas for your own bar! The Philadelphia Bar Association just announced a new member-focused strategic plan formulated with multiple stakeholders; the bar also worked with Jennifer Lewin, Director of the ABA Center for Bar Leadership to develop the plan after initial assistance from the consulting group Tecker International. Meanwhile, the Indiana Bar Association is sharing the results of the strategic plan it created in 2021 and also looking to continue to boost value for its members.
