Safeguarding the Rule of Law, by Marc J. Zucker
 Why should safeguarding the rule of law be a top priority for lawyers and bar associations? Chancellor Marc J. Zucker of the Philadelphia Bar Association, in his Chancellor's Column in the September 2023 issue of The Philadelphia Bar Reporter, offers a definition of the rule of law and points out the United States' "pitiful" ranking of 26 in the World Justice Project rule of law index. He issues a call to action to the legal profession which is in the best position to protect the judicial system and the right to vote.
