Dear Colleague,
Fifty years ago, a small group of lawyers imagined something new: a national community devoted entirely to the craft and practice of construction law. Today, that vision is the ABA Forum on Construction Law—and in May 2026, we will gather in Chicago to celebrate half a century of leadership, learning, and lasting relationships.
Registration is now open for the 2026 Annual Conference, “Lessons Learned from the Last 50 Years on Project Execution and Claims Management,” at the Hilton Chicago, May 6–9, 2026. This year’s program brings together an all-star faculty of Forum “greats” whose ideas, advocacy, and service have helped define the practice and who will use that experience to illuminate where construction law is headed next.
Hear Forum Retrospectives from past Chairs, including Andrew Ness and Leslie K. O’Neal, tracing the Forum’s journey from its first 100 lawyers to today’s diverse, nationwide community. Experience the unveiling of the Forum’s inaugural Hall of Fame, honoring the people, publications, and programs that built our shared professional home.
This is more than a conference. It is a once in a generation opportunity to step back from the daily press of matters, reconnect with colleagues and friends, and recommit to the values that have guided the Forum’s first 50 years—excellence, collegiality, mentorship, inclusion, and service.
